Most requested tests
Across a normal week, the requests we see most are CBC, thyroid profile, HbA1c and fasting sugar, lipid profile, LFT, KFT and vitamin D. In the monsoon months, dengue, malaria and typhoid tests climb quickly. If you need several of these together, a health checkup package often makes more sense than booking them one by one.
Do I need a doctor's prescription?
For most routine lab tests, no. You can ask for a CBC or a sugar test without a slip. We still recommend seeing a doctor, because a result means far more when someone reads it alongside your symptoms and history. A few tests, such as HIV, come with counselling and are reported only to the patient.
Preparing for your test
Fasting is needed for only a handful of tests, mainly fasting sugar, lipid profile, fasting insulin and some iron tests. Overnight means 8 to 12 hours with only plain water; tea counts as breaking the fast. Some hormones are best tested in the morning. Our guide on how to prepare for a blood test goes through each case.
Reports and turnaround
Routine tests are usually reported the same day if the sample reaches us by about 11 am. Hormones and vitamins are ready the same day or the next. Specialised tests may be processed at a partner reference laboratory and usually take 1 to 3 working days; we tell you the expected date when you book. Reports come printed and as a PDF on WhatsApp.
FAQ
How many types of blood test are there?
There are hundreds, but most people only ever need a few dozen. Our list has more than 100, grouped into 12 categories so you can find the one on your slip.
What is tested in a blood test?
It depends on the test. A CBC counts cells, a KFT measures waste products the kidneys clear, and a thyroid profile measures hormones. Each test page here explains exactly what that test checks.
Is there a lab test price list?
We don't publish a price list yet. Each blood test price depends on the method and on whether it's part of a package, so call or WhatsApp for today's rate.
How do I choose between blood test labs?
Look for clear reports with reference ranges, a pathologist who signs off results, and honest timelines. Ask any lab what is done in-house and what is sent out. We'll tell you that for every test.
Can I book online?
Use the booking form on our contact page or call 8872524007. We confirm by phone.
