Home sample collection
Elderly parents, small children, someone recovering from fever: not everyone can come to the lab. A trained phlebotomist can visit homes in Banur and nearby villages daily, and Rajpura, Zirakpur and the Mohali side by appointment. Read how home sample collection works, or call 8872524007 and tell us the tests and your address.

Why patients choose Alpha Laboratory
Nobody can honestly promise you the best lab for blood test work, and we won't try. Here's what we can tell you plainly:
- We've been a pathology lab on the same Banur road since 2014, so many of our patients have years of old reports with us.
- Reports are computer-generated, not handwritten. You get a printed copy at the counter and a PDF on WhatsApp.
- The reporting pathologist reviews results before the report is released.
- We open at 7:00 am, six days a week, and Sunday mornings too.
You can read more about Alpha Laboratory and how we work.
How it works (book, sample, report)
- Call, WhatsApp or use the booking form. Tell us the test names, or send a photo of the prescription.
- We tell you if fasting is needed and whether the sample can be taken at home.
- Give the sample at the lab or at home. Most blood tests take a few minutes.
- Collect the printed report, or receive the PDF on WhatsApp. Show it to your doctor.
Health checkup packages
Some people want a yearly check rather than a single test. Our health checkup packages group the usual tests together: Basic Health Check, Full Body Checkup, Diabetes Care, Heart Health, Thyroid Check, Women's Health and Senior Citizen. Ask us what each one includes before you book.
Areas we serve
Patients come to us from Banur town and the villages around it, from Rajpura about 12 km away, and from Zirakpur, roughly 16 km up the highway. If your search for a blood test near me or a diagnostic centre near me shows labs in Mohali first, it's worth knowing we're about 22 km from Mohali and reachable on the same road. See areas we serve for directions and home collection coverage.
FAQ
Do I need to book before coming to the lab?
No, walk-ins are fine during opening hours. Booking helps for home collection and for tests that need a set time, like PPBS or GTT.
Is this a blood test lab near me if I live in Rajpura or Zirakpur?
Rajpura is around 12 km and Zirakpur around 16 km from our Banur lab. Many people from both towns walk in, and home collection there is available by appointment.
When will my report be ready?
Routine tests are usually ready the same day if the sample is given by about 11 am. Hormones and vitamins can take until the next day, and specialised tests usually 1 to 3 working days.
Do you share reports on WhatsApp?
Yes. You get a PDF on WhatsApp as well as a printed copy at the lab. Reports go only to the patient or a person the patient has authorised.
How much does a blood test cost?
It depends on the test and on whether it's part of a package. Call or WhatsApp for the current price and we'll tell you today's rate.
Do I need a doctor's prescription?
Most routine tests can be done without one. A prescription still helps, because it tells us exactly which tests your doctor wants.
